  How important is a vote ? One vote could change your life which is why everyone needs to know how the elections work. NZ is a democracy that is why everyone can vote. You can vote twice , one of the votes is called party vote. You vote for a party so  that party becomes prime minister if they win. The other vote is called a party vote which is someone that represents an area. You can vote at schools,churches,libraries, and voting booths you can vote one week before the election. Every election is held on a saturday because people go to work on other days and they can’t do it on sunday because people go to church. Elections are every three years and are held in september.
