How important is a vote ? One vote could change your life which is why everyone needs to know how the elections work. NZ is a democracy that is why everyone can vote. You can vote twice , one of the votes is called party vote. You vote for a party so that party becomes prime minister if they win. The other vote is called a party vote which is someone that represents an area. You can vote at schools,churches,libraries, and voting booths you can vote one week before the election. Bee hive is the name of the building where the parliament is, located in wellington the capital city of NZ. Every election is held on a saturday because people go to work on other days and they can’t do it on sunday because people go to church. Elections are every three years and are held in september. A party has to have sixty votes to become a government. Each party has a leader to represent their party.If their party wins the leader becomes prime minister.
